Directions and Launch Location

Salmon River Tours operates out of Riggins Idaho, trips ussually begin at Spring Bar or Vinegar Creek just a few miles from Riggins. Occassionally we use Corn Creek boat launch just outside of Salmon, ID.

Vinegar Creek from Riggins, ID turn onto the Salmon River Road heading south out of Riggins. Drive upstream to the end of the road approximately 28 to the Vinegar Creek loading area. Plan on 45 min. travel time from Riggins to Vinegar Creek. If you booked an overnight trip, our lodge, China Bar Lodge, is located in the middle of the wilderness 46 miles downstream of Corn Creek and 33 miles upstream of Vinegar Creek.

Corn Creek from Salmon, ID follow Highway 93 North 22 miles to North Fork, ID. Turn left immediately after the North Fork General Store. This will be Salmon River RD and you will head Southwest approximately 47 miles to the Corn Creek loading area. The Salmon River Tours jetboat will be awaiting your arrival. Plan on 2 hours travel time for Salmon.
